Pi Lambda Chapter at UT-C

Zeta Pi participated in the installation of a new Delta Zeta chapter, Pi Lambda, at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. On August 25th, we traveled to Chattanooga to conduct the first round of recruitment for the new chapter. Then from September 11th to the 12th we went to perform the Preference Ceremony, celebrate Bid Day, and perform the New Member Ceremony. On December 4th, we went to Chattanooga to perform the Initiation Ceremony. Lastly, on March 27, we attended the Installation Luncheon to celebrate the signing of the charter. Helping to install a new chapter of Delta Zeta at another university was an extremely rewarding experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity. We had so much fun bonding with our own chapter members and meeting new Delta Zetas.

I have a Choice

For this years I Have a Choice Program Zeta Pi decided to do something different from the usually mocktail party or another event involving only Zeta Pi’s. I Have a Choice was held on a Thursday night with Brother’s Under Christ (BYX) to promote an alternative to drinking and a fun night for members of both Greek organizations. Tthis year we had over 150 Zeta Pi and BYX members in attendance. The roller skating rink had a great atmosphere and the entire night was themed “the 1980s re-lived.” Zeta Pi has a long tradition of holding our 80s social with our favorite fraternity so it was a real treat that we could hold an 80s themed party with the brothers of BYX..The prized best dress went to a Zeta Pi who wore her mother’s prom dress from 1988.
